You Don’t Need To Have It All Figured Out, You Just Have To Get Started : A Guide to Getting What You Want
You Don’t Need To Have It All Figured Out, You Just Have To Get Started
These are some of the most life changing words I have ever heard, my friend!
I know that there are some times where you just feel like the world is passing by and you just don’t have it all figured out...I know this because I feel it and so do most people!
The thing I want you to understand is that even if you don’t have your life figure out, your career figured out or your personal life figure out--THAT’S OK! If you had it all figured out, your life would not only be boring but you would have no room for growth and flexibility to recalibrate for something better.
I know what its like to graduate college and feel like you’ve been dropped in the deep end. It seemed so glamorous to finally be out of school and kicking off the rest of your life! But now? It feels a lot like a kick in the stomach when the hustle gets REAL. Suddenly, the safety of someone assigning you homework, telling you the next step to take for your graduation seems pretty ideal doesn’t it?
So here’s the thing. You just need to get started. Start thinking about the kind of life you like and make achievable action steps towards it. If you want to start saving money, make an action step! Figure out how much you can save each week and pull out some cash to set aside towards your savings. If you want to work towards a certain job position, make some action steps of what you can do to get the experience you need and go out and make it happen! If you want to get into shape and don’t know where to start, do some research and find a workout class you like and start going regularly (even if it’s once a week).
Something I learned a while ago from Gabrielle Bernstein was that it’s not about having it all right now, it’s about the small steps in the right direction that add up to something incredible AND enjoying every moment of the process! All the small steps you take will be the catalyst towards achieving more than you thought you could and if you are having fun at the same time you will definitely achieve your goals more quickly.
Not only will you be able to achieve so much, but you won’t burn yourself out by trying to do too much too fast and you will navigate your towards your goals in a way that is completely authentic to you.
Now, I would love to hear from you! What goals do you want to achieve? I want to hear your 3 action steps that you are going to do to get yourself there!
