How You May Be Blocking Your Success & My Top Journaling Questions To Take Action

I just want to start with the punchline...you are the creator of your biggest blocks!

Ok now that I’ve got that out there, let’s dive in. Close your eyes for a moment and picture your dream life.

My first question to you is this. Do you actually think you can live your dream life? You better believe it because I hands down KNOW that you can!

Here’s the thing. Nothing in this world holds you back from accomplishing any goal or inhibits you from living your dream life. The only thing that consistently gets in your way is your thoughts and judgements that you project onto yourself.

I am being blunt because I really want you to understand how capable you are. I want you to be able to get to the bottom of this post and feel empowered to take action. Are you with me?

I go through limiting beliefs about myself every single day (most people do!), and by using the journaling questions below I throw away my limitations and take action anyway.

If I listened to the voice in my mind telling me that I would not be a good lifestyle coach then I would not be here helping hundreds of beautiful young professional women just like you. If I had listened to myself in thinking that I will have to be stuck in a job I didn’t enjoy just to get by then I wouldn’t be working my dream job motivating you to do the same.

You see what I am getting at? The same goes for health and lifestyle goals. If you listen to your inner voice during a gym sweat sesh telling you to stop because it's just too hard, you will NEVER reach your fitness goals and if you listen to yourself when your mind is trying to derail your healthy eating streak then you will not change your fast food habits.

Let’s dive into it, shall we?

I want you to take the time today to write freely your answers to the below. These questions are supposed to be fun and action provoking so don’t be too serious and make the action steps something to look forward to!

  1. To live your dream life, what do you have to accomplish? List them out individually. (ex. financial security, working for myself, etc.)

  2. Pretend for a moment that you have already accomplished ALL your goals and you are living your dream life. How does it FEEL? (a key to setting yourself for success is to chase after a feeling rather than what the outcome looks like -  have you ever heard the term that all the money in the world won’t make you happy? Instead, chase after being successful and cultivating good feelings)

  3. Under each goal, write out why you haven’t taken action yet. Do you feel that you don’t know where to start or that you will fail and be embarrassed?

  4. If you fail at these goals, what is the worst that could happen? If it came to this, what is an action plan to pick yourself up and get back on track?

  5. Lastly, whip out your pretty little planner and schedule in 3 action steps for each of your goals and make them a priority! I have come to learn  from the amazing Marie Forleo that if it is not scheduled, then it is not real. And when it is not real then it will never happen so put it in your planner, babe!
